In 1985, Les wrote one of his first classical pieces, “The Niagara Suite”, for his favourite harmonicist, Tommy Reilly. This composition, in three movements, depicted the enormity and beauty of the Niagara Falls. At certain times, the suite can be heard playing near the falls, featuring Tommy and The Munchner Rundfunk Orchester, Conducted by Heinz Geese.

Les worked on a musical, “The Magic Touch”, featuring Illusionist, Johnny Hart. Les and his co-writers provided the musical score for this wonderful magic show, which ran at the Cambridge Theatre, Seven Dials, in London. The title song from the show, “The Magic Touch” was recorded by Tom Jones and released in America.
